Embroidered North End Crew

Bounded by Larpenteur, Pennsylvania, 35, and Dale Street, the North End holds a special place in StP history. The first to land were families from Germany, Sweden, Ireland, and Poland. They built modest homes, opened neighborhood storefronts and planted roots far deeper than the soil beneath them.

Over the decades, the story expanded. New generations arrived, bringing new energy and culture. Though the beloved Rice Street Parade took its final bow in 2018, the memories of those 108 parades remain a cherished part of North End lore. That same spirit thrives year-round through local institutions like Tracks, John’s, and Mama’s.

Though the historic train yards have quieted down, the North End’s identity remains unchanged: it’s a neighborhood built by working hands and a love for this place, a neighborhood that will never be silenced and definitely never referred to as “Como.”
